At Abby’s Dog Training School, I offer practical, force-free support for dogs and their people in North Bury and Bolton. Whether you’re starting out with a puppy, working through a challenge or looking for a fun activity to enjoy together, we’ll find an approach that fits your dog.
1:1 dog training
Personalised sessions give you space to focus on your dog’s needs and your priorities. Training can cover everyday skills such as recall, loose lead walking, calm greetings, settling, confidence and impulse control.

Dog training classes
Learn and practise in a friendly, supportive setting. Classes include:

Secure field hire
Book private time in the enclosed field in Affetside. It’s a space for your dog to enjoy sniffing, exploring and playing with you, away from the usual distractions of a public walk.
My training approach
I use positive reinforcement and force-free methods. That means helping dogs learn through clear guidance, rewards and choices, while paying attention to how they’re feeling.
Training should support the dog in front of us. We’ll work at a pace that feels manageable and focus on useful progress in real life.
Areas covered
I’m based in the North Bury and Bolton area. Training locations depend on the service and what will work best for you and your dog. The secure dog field is in Affetside.
